Posture describes the way you carry yourself. Every individual has different characteristics and different level of functioning which keeps his or her body in alignment. Several postural patterns can be easily identified and although it is sometimes impossible to correct postural problems totally you can attempt to improve your posture by doing things correctly.
Good posture is carrying your body in a way that puts the least strain on muscles and ligaments. Poor posture can cause pain in the back and neck, and eventually causes injury.
